[bndfc-web-tech] Uploading files to dev site

Cheers. I've got those now and they work. However, as I understand it, for those
changes to become apparant (i.e. seen!) on the actual dev site, I have to tell
the server about them via PuTTY. Is this right?

So far, it's not working anyway! Firstly, I'm not 100% sure which hostname I
should be connecting to. Is it the svn.mkdoc/bndfc/ hostname or the
www.bndfc.dev.webarch.net/ hostname?

Either way, I can't get anywhere with them. I don't think putty likes forward
slashes in hostnames, because when they're used I get an 'unable to open
connection' message.

On using the dev site's hostname (with or without the www), I get as far as a
pop up command line input window, but it seems frozen (i.e. I can't type
anything) and then shortly get a pop up message 'Putty fatal error: Network
error: connection timed out'.

Any thoughts...?
