There is no set limit, though I wouldn't expect http POST to be
useful for anything more than a few megabytes.

Perhaps it is timing-out, the connection is stopped if there is no
response from the client in 5 minutes.

We need to know the sizes that are being tried and the web-browser
that is being used.
