I thought we were going to go for a "one document per event" model;
similar to the existing "one document per news item" and "one
document per product" sytems that we already have working well.
This allows us to have fine-grained control over events that repeat
by having multiple event components per document.
So these three fields are just the standard document "Properties":
> Language
> Event Title
> Event Description
These are really generic document metadata:
> Location
> Coverage Country
This is an events component:
> Time Zone
> Start Date Hour Minute Day Month Year
> End Date Hour Minute Day Month Year
Surely the URI is the document self/uri? Any other links can be
added inline to the document:
> Event URI
These can be inline text as part of the document since I can't see
any real point in distributing the Organiser details as metadata:
> Event Organiser Organisation
> Event Organiser Contact
> Event Organiser Email
(If this stuff is really necessary, I would prefer to have a new
"person/organisation" component that can be added to any document)
In fact all this can all be reduced to just two new components:
Event Component
---------------
* Time Zone
* Start Date Hour Minute Day Month Year
* End Date Hour Minute Day Month Year
Place Component
---------------
* Location
* Coverage Country
* Organisation Name
* Contact Person
* Email
