Hi all,
Damien and I have been setting up the web site a little to day.
We've installed Drupal CMS at http://cafe.burngreave.net ( i imagine bitfixit
can be pointed to that at sometime ).
Our thinking around the web presence is as follows:
We see 3(+) classes of user
1. Techs
- full access to site and able to administer all content and users
2. registered users
- limited access to site, able to post comments on blogs, and post in
(certain?) forums
3. Anonymous users
- read access content only.
We saw main workflow through the site as follows
1. We can create a few static pages which have information about the computer
cafe ( who we are, when we are open, where we are, constitution.. etc ) (
perhaps organised as a "book" off an about us link )
2. We can have a (number of ) forums where people can post questions and
answers.
3. We can have a blog section where tech's tell stories of interest, that are
worth remebering ( for instance I'd like to record the information about fixing
audacity with nick last week, or the ltsp server progress etc.. )
This is pretty much as far as we have got,
There are lots of other things that Drupal can do, but at this point we thought
we'd try to keep it pretty simple, until some better structure appears.
PS if anybody has a good idea for a logo or color scheme, shout out!
