[Cafe] Fwd: BITfixIT funding application meeting

sorry just realised this conversation was 'off-list'!

it has been bouncing around the 'working party' that came out of the AGM.

its back on list now - cos can't see any reason why it shouldn't be
and it should be our default way of communicating. I reckon it's
better to have to ignore stuff that doesn't concern you than miss
stuff you want to contribute to. just say if you reckon any particular
thread should be taken 'off-list' for a bit.

love

gareth

OK Damien would rather do next week, so the first day I'm free is
wednesday can meet anywhere. Or if you prefer the thursday at mine.

Haven't heard from Reka - hello Reka are you still wanting to be involved?

Who's free, easy and good at applications? lets do it.

Nice to see some sources of funding like community foundation - we
need to think big - like 35-50k or something. Perhaps we can try and
get to chat to someone (or several people) who are experienced in this
world. Knowing the networks is really critical - some hefty funding
happens 'under the radar' so to speak. Or at least the real important
impressions are made informally, rather than just on the strength of
the application form. So if we can get anyone who's got a few years of
experience with the local funding scene then that's mint.

I went a googling and via yorkshire forward (may have to be checked
out in their own right) found the European Regional Development Fund.
links aplenty here:

We should probably try to make contact with Sheffield Community
Enterprise Development Unit too.
