[messenger-announce] Feature writing course

[Burngreave Messenger]

Dear all,

The Messenger still has places on our newsletter production course, 
which starts next week. The next 3 sessions will cover 'Feature Writing'

The course is free for residents of Burngreave and Fir Vale and is on 
Thursdays 10am-12noon at Abbeyfield Park House

Thursday 8th June: Different types of features, such as: interviews, 
opinion pieces, case studies or advertorials, and their different 
elements: intros, quotes, supporting material.

Thursday 15th June: How best to write up the outlines from the previous 
session, discussing the kind of approaches that would work and the tone 
and angle of the feature.

Thursday 22nd June: This session would be a review of what had been 
written, what had gone well and could have been better.

Writing done during the training might appear in the Messenger or the 
Fir Vale Newsletter.
